Moore's Flower shop was established in 1940 by Mrs. Elizebeth Dunn and was located on the ground floor of the Wright Building. This was the first flower shop in Fayette. In 1946, The building that presently houses Moore's was built. In October 1947, the shop was purchased by Mrs. Stella P. Moore and her son James M. Moore, Jr. The name was changed from Dunns Flower Shop to Moore's Flowers at this time. Later Mr. James bought out his mother and ran the shop until he retired in 1987. The current owner, Trina Q. Daniel continues to run the business as Mr. Moore did, his legacy continues on to this day. When you buy flowers from Moore's, you will be getting good old fashioned value and service.
Mr. Moore had many employees over the years while he was in business. One of which was Sandra Stephenson. She started with Mr. Moore in 1979 and is still to this day an asset to the shop. She brings her creative edge to the business.
